OBJECTIVES


Main objectives

 
 

Contribute to social progress and development through academic work about the family.

Disseminate knowledge and issues about the family.

Offer rigorous and scientific knowledge about the current situation of families, and according to this knowledge suggest possible actions to social agents.

Create and develop an international network of entities and experts about the family from different fields for the exchange of knowledge and experience.


Specific

   
  Become a documental, statistical, bibliographic relevant source about family policy in Spanish-speaking and European countries, through new technologies.

Develop specific on-line education.

Disseminate leading research and data through seminars and symposiums.

Train experts in family policy.

Contribute to the “vocational training” of parents in their job of being a parent at a university level.

Have an active role in activities driven to families at a national and international level and in the public debate.

The Institute of Advanced Family Studies is the first institute of graduated studies in Spain which has as main target the family policy development. To the birth and development of family policy IESF offers a scientific and interdisciplinary base on family issues to suit the needs of public administration offices (public administration, syndicates, firms and associations). Research, education, spreading of information, on-line work, international vocation, advising and collaboration with public and private organizations are the everyday job of IESF.
